This is where you can find out about the badges you can earn and how you can get them

Activity Badges:

These are the infamous badges that makes Scouting so appealing.

Some examples:

Cub Challenge Badge Awards:

The Challenges complement the balanced programme. These have been developed to extend Cub Scouts' skills and experience. The Challenges are optional and continue throughout the Sections providing continuity from 6 to 25.

Staged Activity Badges:

These are progressive awards that are in several parts. They can be earned in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers. Once they are earned in one section they can be worn when you move onto the next session e.g. if earned as a Cub you can wear on your Scout uniform.

Some examples:

Hikes Away                I.T.                Emergency Aid        Nights Away               Swimmer                 Musician

Group Awards:

These are earned when all of the sections of the group collaborate on a group project.

  Environment                                                              Faith                                                      International

Chief Scout's Award:

These awards are the highest a young person can achieve within their section.

For Cubs:

There is the very prestigious Chief Scout's Silver Award which can be gained once a Cub has:

  •  earned the Outdoor Challenge Badge

  •  earned two other Challenge Badges (other than Outdoor Challenge)

  •  reached the age of ten years old
